The Plan: We are finishing
our first Topic in Math this week. We will complete lessons 5 and 6. I have
assigned a topic review that will be due Thursday. The Topic 1 test is set for
Friday, September 13.

Monday: Today we went a little out of order and did lesson 1-6 on problem solving involving bar diagrams. Tomorrow we will finish this lesson, and begin lesson 1-5. Homework 1-6 and 1-5 will be optional this week. Students will see them on their to-do list, but they will not be a recorded score in eSchool. They may work on them if they want. The required homework is the Topic 1 Review which is due Thursday. This is the study guide for the test. The test is this Friday, September 13.
Tuesday: The digits online program is having technical difficulties. They are working on it, but I do not know when it will be fixed. So, today I gave each student a hard copy of the study guide (Topic 1 Review). It is still due Thursday, but I will give them a little time in class tomorrow to work on it. We will go over it on Thursday. The test is still set for Friday. Today we finished lesson 1-6 and started 1-5. We will finish it tomorrow.
Wednesday: Today students did an in class assignment, 1-5 practice, with the substitute. The digits online problem seems to be resolved. Students will see assignments in their to-do list now, however these will not be required assignments. They need to do the paper copy of the Topic 1 review. This is due tomorrow. We will go over this and any other unfinished lessons tomorrow. Test is still set for Friday.
Thursday: I gave each class a few minutes to finish their study guide, then we went over the answers in class. Students can use that and any of the optional assignments on their digits to-do list to study. (I suggest to start with the Topic 1 review.) Tomorrow they will take the Topic 1 test in the computer lab.
Friday: We took the Topic 1 test on the computer today. Students were able to see their score when they finished. They filled out a note to parents stating their score and how to review the test online. Please sign the note and return it as soon as possible.
