The Plan:
This week we will be continuing our Integer/Algebra unit. We are looking at patterns and writing rules by doing various activities. We are also reviewing integers and learning about inequalities. The unit assessment will be near the end of next week.
Monday: Today we finished our taxi cab fares pattern sheet and compared 2 video rental store rates. We also began a linear/non-linear graphing activity. The adding integer Sponge Bob coloring page is due tomorrow.
Tuesday: Today we went outside to do an algebra walk or human graphing. In other words, we graphed linear equations on a coordinate grid. There is no assignment this evening.
Wednesday: Today we finished a linear/non-linear graphing activity. We also calculated distances of different modes of transportation using rate and time. A study guide was assigned for Chapter 9 & 12. It is due next Tuesday, May 7. The exam will be next Thursday, May 9.
Thursday: Today we learned about inequalities. Students were given a notes packet with examples, and we started the Guided Practice in class. We will continue it tomorrow with an assignment. The only homework is the study guide that is due Tuesday.
